Wish with Basically Bare and Art Anthology

Good morning everyone, Steph here today with a 5″ x 7″ canvas which I’ve titled Wish.

I love working with canvas and the Basically Bare die cuts are the perfect embellishments to use on a canvas.  I started with a Crafter’s Workshop stencil – Bricks – and used modeling paste through the  stencil.  Once dry, I “painted” the bricks with Art Anthology Red Velvet Sorbet.  I love how the bricks sparkle.

Art Anthology’s Chocolate Sorbet was painted around the edges and sides of the canvas.  “Wish” was spelled out with some stickers I found in my stash.

The sun was created by cutting the spokes off one gear, painting and embossing them both, then wrapping twine on the spokes of one gear.  The gears were assembled with a large brad in the center.

The tree trunk was painted with Art Anthology Chocolate Sorbet.  The canvas tree was painted with Art Anthology Limeaid and some Chocolate around the edges.  I heat set it to give the tree more dimension.  The bird and leaves were cut from Sizzix dies.

It may be small, but I think it has a big impact.  Don’t you?

Thanks for stopping by today.

Steph
